Mamiya C3 – KODAK Portra 160VC – Vache flamande

It’d been a while since I last got out one of my 6×6 “big guns”. The problem with collecting cameras is that you end up with a shelf full of half-finished rolls of film.

I’m almost embarassed to admit that I still had to finish the first roll I’d put in the Mamiya C3 that I’d bought off of eBay almost 2 years ago.

This picture was shot close to the center of Opbrakel in what’s called the Flemish Ardennes, a region most known for being the backdrop to Flanders’ most famous cycling tour. I took a 10 km walk that guides you through meadows, fields and forests which was perfect for a beautiful sunday morning in september.

Another shot from this summer’s motorcycle trip through France and the North of Spain. I took this shot on a ride over some of the legendary cols from the Tour De France.

During all of my rides, I kept my cameras in a magnetic bag on my gas tank so that, whenever I encountered something worth shooting along the way, I’d have my Widelux and X-Pro2 at the ready.
