It’d been a while since I last got out one of my 6×6 “big guns”. The problem with collecting cameras is that you end up with a shelf full of half-finished rolls of film.
I’m almost embarassed to admit that I still had to finish the first roll I’d put in the Mamiya C3 that I’d bought off of eBay almost 2 years ago.
This picture was shot close to the center of Opbrakel in what’s called the Flemish Ardennes, a region most known for being the backdrop to Flanders’ most famous cycling tour. I took a 10 km walk that guides you through meadows, fields and forests which was perfect for a beautiful sunday morning in september.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the Lab-Box project for almost a year now. What started as a Kickstarter is now available in pre-order until october 31st (with shipping estimated for february).
Lab-Box is a solution for those who want to get into developing their own black and white 35mm and 120mm film. It’s an all-in-one solution that eliminates the need for a darkroom or -bag for loading and developing film. You just put your film in the appropriate attachment according to size, attach the cartridge to the main unit and crank the film into the main chamber, kind of like you would when loading the camera.
